President Gül with Injured Mine Workers in Soma

President Abdullah Gül visited the workers who had been injured during the explosion occuring in a mine in the western county of Soma.

President Abdullah Gül accompanied by Speaker Cemil Çiçek of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) is in the county of Soma in order to visit the mine workers who were injured in the explosion in a mine in the county and to inspect the mine owned by the Soma Coal Mining Company.

Having arrived in the county of Akhisar, President Gül and TBMM Speaker Çiçek proceeded to the Akhisar State Hospital, where the injured mine workers are receiving treatment.

The President afterwards visited the mine in the county of Soma.
