President Gül in Turkmenistan

President Abdullah Gül is paying a visit to Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Equestrian Festival to be held in Ashkhabad.

President Gül was welcomed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Turkish Ambassador to Ashkhabad Şevki Mütevellioğlu at Ashkhabad International Airport, where a group of Turkmen children in national dress presented a loaf of bread and salt and a bouquet of flowers.

As part of his program in Ashkhabad, President Gül met with Tatarstan's President Rustam Minnihanov at the hotel where he is staying.
