President Mahamadou of Niger at the Çankaya Presidential Palace

President Issoufou Mahamadou of Niger is paying a state visit to Turkey at the invitation of President Abdullah Gül.
President Gül welcomed President Mahamadou with an official ceremony. The two leaders afterwards had a tete-a-tete and chaired the talks between their delegations.
President Mahamadou's visit has particular importance in that it is the first state visit at the Presidential level between the two countries. The two sides will review their bilateral and multilateral relations which have gained momentum in recent years.
