President Abdullah Gül paid a visit to the Presidential Guard Regiment Command. Having lunch with the soldiers at the mess hall, the President also explored the Museum of the Regiment, where he examined old pictures of the regiment and clothes of the former presidents.
Upon his arrival at the Presidential Regiment Command, President Gül was welcomed by the Deputy Chief of General Staff Full Gen. Yaşar Güler and the Presidential Regiment Commander Staff Colonel Muhammet Tanju Poshor with a ceremony.
After signing the Book of Honor, the President was briefed about the regiment. Afterwards, the President gave gifts to personnel of the regiment and planted a sapling in its garden.
