Finnish President Tarja Halonen along with her spouse, Pentti Arajavi, paid an official visit to Turkey upon President Abdullah Gül’s invitation from March 29-30, 2011.

The two presidents had a tete-a-tete after the official welcoming ceremony and before the  joint press conference they chaired the delegational talks. President Gül and First Lady Hayrünnisa Gül also gave an official dinner for the Finnish President and her spouse, Mr. Pentti Arajavi.

The Finnish First Couple also visited the Southeastern province of Şanlıurfa after completing their schedule in Ankara and they afterwards left Turkey for Finland.
