The First Lady accompanied President Abdullah Gül on his visit to Lisbon, where he attended the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government.

After the opening ceremony held at the Lisbon International Fair, First Lady Hayrünnisa Gül along with the other spouses of the heads of state and government explored the Ricardo Do Espirito Santo Silva Foundation and the Museum of Fashion and Design. Mrs. Gül also attended a dinner given in honor of the spouses of the heads of state and government at the Lisbon Municipality by the Deputy Mayor’s wife, Mrs.Simonetta Luz Alfonso.

Also attending the programs stated above were the wife of the NATO Secretary General, Mrs. Anne-Mette Rasmussen, and the Portuguese Minister of Culture, Ms. Gabriela Canavilhas.

FIRST LADY PAYS A VISIT TO MUSEU NACIONAL DOS COCHES

Mrs. Gül along with the other spouses of the heads of state and government paid a visit to Museu Nacional dos Coches, converted into museum in 1905. She later attended a luncheon given by the Portuguese Minister of Culture, Ms. Canavilhas, in honor of the spouses of the heads of state and government at the same place.
